Building a Generation of Safe and Healthy Workers - SAFE and HEALTHY YOUTH_Colombia

The initiative proposed under the SafeYouth@Work Project, will roll out the Programme to Promote Formalization in two additional palm oil regions in Colombia (Meta and Casanare) with two objective: 1) Improve tools on labour formalization and OSH for young palm oil sector workers; and 2) Improve compliance with labour formalization law and OSH in the palm sector in Meta and Casanare. This initiative will link to other ILO projects strengthening the labour inspectorate through Strategic Compliance Planning, taking advantage of the fact that palm oil and ambiguous and disguised employment relationships have been and will likely continue to be the targets for a national compliance strategy.
