Workshop on role of insurance for an integrated climate and disaster risk management 5 November 2018.

The GIZ and ILO join forces to showcase the activities being done in the area of climate risk insurance and disaster management and highlight the lessons being learned from these activities through a full day workshop with different partners and diverse stakeholders interested in the topic. This workshop is a pre-conference workshop to the 14th Microinsurance Conference in Lusaka, Zambia. Through sessions focused on topics such as exploring the link between insurance solutions for SMEs and employment growth, importance of group policies the workshop and role for contract farming, the workshop addresses the success factors and challenges in building resilience in vulnerable communities and enterprises.
