Migrant Rights and Decent Work (MiRiDeW)
The overall goal of the project is to enable democratic institutions of Nepal to better protect Migrants (male, females and discriminated groups) and their families, as well as to ensure they benefit from decent working conditions abroad. This is to be achieved by strengthening the support systems of the Government of Nepal in in countries of destinations and to build its capacity to play an active role in regional and global fora on migration issues, as well as to reflect back its commitments in national policies and programs. The project further promotes new destinations and new sectors in existing destinations for low-skilled Nepalese workers. The project is implemented in collaboration with the Nepalese Government, civil society organizations and the private sector.
