Development of inclusive insurance markets in Nigeria and Cote d'Ivoire

Through this 11 month partnership, the ILO and the GIZ deepen their collaboration to develop the capacities of the microinsurance / inclusive insurance market in Côte d’Ivoire and Nigeria by making available the tools and solutions to serve new client segments in partnerships with national and regional insurance training institutes that can deliver relevant international content. In Nigeria the business model to improve the capacity of the local insurance industry (through the CIFM) has been in place since 2016. With the support of both GIZ and the ILO the capacity of the local insurance industry is strengthened with further trainings. In Côte d’Ivoire a new partnership with the CPFA Abidjan is set up in order to start a business model for capacity building in inclusive insurance for the francophone countries.
