Vision Zero Fund Initiative: Improving occupational safety and health in coffee supply chains
The EU grant, allocated to the Vision Zero Fund (VZF), will contribute to the reduction of occupational accidents and diseases in coffee global value chains. In order to do so, the project will mobilize the untapped potential of GSCs as outlined in the global report on results of the ILO-EU project on OSH in GSCs. This untapped potential includes the mobilization of the key actors identified as part of global supply chain analysis in support of interventions developed in response to the OSH vulnerabilities identified. In the coffee global value chain, these key actors include government ministries (Labour, Agriculture, Social Security, Education, Health and Trade), employer and worker organizations and associations (at all levels of the value chain), exporters and importers, education and training providers, certification agencies, and roasters and retailers. The project will engage these key actors and leverage their concerted influence and support in delivery of project interventions.
