Trade for Decent Work
This project aims at improving the application of the International Labour Organisation (ILO) fundamental Conventions in European Union (EU) trading partner countries and contributes to Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 8, through improved labour relations and working conditions. It has been conceived as a framework including: a Global Facility providing ad hoc support to on-going needs that might arise in partner countries or on global initiatives; and a Country-focused Facility supporting each year a number of target countries based on annual work plans and budgets to be submitted to the European Commission (EC) for financing. The project will start with a set of countries agreed by ILO and the EC (Bangladesh, Myanmar and Vietnam).
