Capacity building and technical assistance to support the development of agricultural insurance in Zambia
There is a demonstrated need to develop the capacity of the insurance industry to operate agricultural insurance programmes and guarantee a business model that is sustainable and that achieves valuable agricultural insurance products at accessible prices in the long term. In this ten month-project, the ILO's Impact Insurance Facility and GIZ partner to support market development interventions in the climate risk and agricultural insurance sector in Zambia. By developing training programmes for acriculture and delivering the same full programmes to practitioners in Zambia, this project supports the insurance industry in Zambia to develop relevant skills to enabling the practicitioners to design and operate a sustainable business model for agricultural insurance based on a client centric perspective.
