Launch of Indian Business Network
The project's focus is the launch of the Indian Business Disability Network (IBDN), which facilitates inclusion of persons with disabilities and workplace diversity in India. The IBDN is a platform for companies’ mutual learning and experiences as well as context based solutions and engagement with other stakeholders. It builds upon the ongoing work of companies in India to create diverse and inclusive work spaces through adopting universal design concepts and ensuring barrier-free workplace; invest in assistive technologies; map jobs and hire persons with disabilities; and develop and adopt disability-friendly policies. The IBDN acts as a one-stop solution to promote employment of persons with disabilities while responding to the needs of the private sector.
