Provision of HR and financial support to ITCILO in the framework of the implementation of the DIMAPPP project
The “Digitizing Implementation Monitoring and Public Procurement Project (DIMAPPP)” is a programme funded by a World Bank loan and covering several areas, including the ITCILO implemented ''Capacity Development and Professionalization (CDP)" stream (the Project), which is the third phase of a long-term professionalization effort of the Government of Bangladesh in the area of public procurement. The first phase of the professionalization effort had been implemented by the Turin Centre already between 2002 and 2007. The objectives of the project are to enhance the capacity of 32 selected public sector agencies (SPSOs) by implementing a comprehensive programme following the approach of different type and tier of training including long, short and specialized training, workshops and orientation programmes (for a total of 320 training activities, with a participation of 10,000 trainees); developing and implementing an accreditation programme with different tiers of professional certification; and improving procurement capacity with institutionalization of SPSOs.
