Strengthening the capacity of the trade union in Jordan's garment sector
The project aims to strengthen the union’s capacity to effectively organise and represent all workers in Jordan’s garment sector, which, in turn, will promote workers’ rights and their well-being as well as decent work in the sector. The above objective will be achieved by: Outcome 1 - Enhanced organizational structure of the Garment Trade Union GTU by making it more inclusive and sustainable for women and migrant workers; outcome 2 - Enhanced capacity of the GTU to promote social dialogue at the enterprise and industrial-zone levels; and outcome 3 - improved capacity of the GTU to promote collective bargaining and social dialogue at the sectoral level.
