Promoting social dialogue, industrial relations and collective bargaining - INWORK component
Building on the results achieved in 2018-19, and taking into account lessons learned from previous work undertaken within the framework of the Sida-ILO Partnership Programme, Sida's contribution for 2020-21 will be instrumental to support the lLO in promoting sound labour relations and strengthening social dialogue, including in: Delivering targeted policy advice, technical assistance and capaciff building to support beneficiaries in ODA-eligible countries; Advancing the development and expansion of critical knowledge products which improve country-level policy advice and contribute to biannual global flagship reports on social dialogue; and Improving the inclusiveness and effectiveness of national social dialogue institutions. The intervention will complement other ILO initiatives at the country-level, building synergies with Sida's bilateral support on social dialogue and labour relations, within the framework of relevant Decent Work Country Programmes and the Agenda 2030, particularly SDG 8 on decent work and inclusive growth. Its focus is on the development of institutions and actors engaged in labour and industrial relations and social dialogue, and through the development of these institutions, contributing directly to reducing inequality through the social and economic development of countries where these tools are used.
