Increased labour market relevance of skills development

This intervention addresses needs related to modernisation of technical and vocational education and training (TVET) in Ukraine to enable youth education, training and employment opportunities. It assists in piloting e-Learning in TVET in four different occupations. The aim is to guarantee the continuity of TVET during the pandemic through e-learning and blended learning (a combination of e-Learning and face-to-face learning). Direct beneficiaries are the Ministry of Education, TVET administrators, curriculum developers, didactic TVET staff and social partners’ representatives, who are capacitated to develop e-learning in TVET and to multiply the experience within their institutions and across the TVET system. Indirect beneficiaries are TVET-students, with a particular focus on women and disadvantaged learners (persons with disabilities, rural population). The expected end results of the intervention include: i) the Ministry of Education, TVET experts and social partners are better able to manage e-learning platforms; ii) TVET teachers and curriculum developers have the necessary know-how to develop and use e-learning programmes and materials; and iii) digital TVET in Ukraine is rolled out nation-wide based on the systematized lessons learned from the pilot experience.
