Technical Support to the NHIA
NHIA and ILO partnered to ensure optimal use of existing analytical tools and digital data available, and build capacity of the IT, Actuarial and Research, Policy, Monitoring and Evaluation teams at the NHIA for this purpose. While the direct recipients of this project are the NHIA, the ultimate beneficiaries and main stakeholders are the citizens of Ghana, who rely on the NHIS. This collaboration involves activities such as: 1) Conducting an audit of current key data and analytical tools/models already available and in use at the NHIA 2) Familiarization with digital data available e.g. generated off the back of the m-Renewal and digital authentication project and suggesting new uses. 3) Organizing workshops and other training events to build capacity to optimize use existing tools and data, and 4) Compiling an additional formal education support plan & brainstorming ideas for learning exchanges for key staff. The modality of the activities take the COVID-19 pandemic into account.
