Estidama++ Fund – Formalization and Extension of Coverage

The project objective is to strengthen the situation of vulnerable workers in Jordan, through the extension of workers’ social protection rights, access to income support and registration in the social security system. With technical assistance from the ILO, the proposed interventions will provide technical and financial support to the Social Security Corporation (SSC) to extend income and social protection to vulnerable workers that fall outside of NAF (or those that are eligible to NAF but better served under the contributory system), those in employment situations within and outside the Social Security Law, especially in enterprises and (sub) sectors that are particularly affected by COVID-19. Particular emphasis will be placed on the situation of migrant and refugee workers, female workers and workers in SMEs.
