Enhancing Labour Governance, Inspection and Working Conditions In Response to COVID-19 Phase I
Iraq is emerging from an intensive conflict resulting in the defeat of the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL), and working to transition into a more sustainable development period in its history. As such, there will be a broad spectrum of needs to be addressed, requiring both humanitarian and development approaches and a leveraging of the humanitarian-development-peace nexus to promote resilience, stability and social cohesion. The project will contribute to the socio-economic development of the Republic of Iraq through enhancing the application of International Labour Standards and national labour legislation and promoting social dialogue, social justice, and decent work.
