Global Programme on Skills and Lifelong Learning_Global
The ILO-Norway Agreement 2020-21 contributes to implement Outcome 5 of ILO’s Programme and Budget and more particularly to advance the ILO Global Programme on Skills and Lifelong Learning (GPSL3), combining efforts with other development partners. The purpose of the Global Programme is to galvanize forces on skills and lifelong learning for the Future of Work. This, with a view to provide strategic and co-ordinated guidance and direction to develop and implement innovative and scalable solutions to skill, reskill and upskill people of all ages in the time of unprecedented disruption and opportunities. The Global Skills Programme will provide coordinated and enhanced support to ILO constituents in view of developing and implementing new generation skills and lifelong learning ecosystems, which recognise education, training, and lifelong learning are fundamental. As part of the Global Programme, eight components (global, regional, Ethiopia, Ghana, Lebanon, Malawi, Senegal and Tanzania) will promote innovations and enhanced support for governments, organizations of employers and workers, women, youth, migrants and refugees, persons with disabilities and other people in vulnerable situations in the target countries with scale, through a staggered approach under a coordinated global framework.
