Global Programme on Skills and Lifelong Learning_Ethiopia component

The strategy of the proposed component is to contribute to address the challenges faced by Ethiopia’s TVET system by improving its quality, relevance and inclusiveness. A more demand-driven approach that facilitates the development of relevant skills for different economic sectors will implemented. In addition, it aims to improve the work-readiness of the labour force through integrating short-term training courses in the TVET system for ‘upskilling’ purposes. Such short-term training courses aimed to enhance employability are considered more accessible for the large group of youth who are currently outside of the education system and vulnerable group of people.
