Empowering women for resilient economies and peaceful communities in the refugee-affected regions of East and Adamawa in Cameroon

The project will pursue four interlinked objectives: Reinforce local institutions and promote enabling mechanisms for inclusive economic development, social cohesion and communities’ wellbeing; Support women refugees and host populations to establish sustainable, flourishing and ecological agro businesses and cooperatives; Facilitate access of refugees and host populations to social protection schemes likely to prevent Gender-Based Violence (GBV) and HIV/AIDS and mitigate their effects; and Generate knowledge/good practices and evidence based data on the impact of women’s empowerment in community recovery, resilience building and social cohesion processes.
