Promoting Employment in Nigeria (PEN)

The project aims to strengthen the employment governance framework through advancing the implementation of the 2017 National Employment Policy and promoting the integration and/or reintegration of job seekers into the labour market through better availability and accessibility of labour market information. To this end, the project will review the labour market situation in Nigeria with a particular focus on the impact of COVID-19, updated the Implementation Matrix of the 2017 National Employment Policy; promote collaboration and exchange of information among public and private stakeholders on effective labour measures; and support public employment centres and workers’ and employers’ organizations in the provision of labour market information.
