Panama MPTF UNPRPD Inception Phase 2021
The proposed project, ‘Panama MPTF UNPRPD Inception Phase 2021’ produces the Inception Report to carry out a series of activities in order to be eligible to the 3rd phase of the Fourth Funding Call and receive the reminding funds corresponding to US$ 300,000.00 to ensure a catalyzing effect in terms of advancement of rights of persons with disabilities at the national level. Through a multi-stakeholder process and forthcoming UNPRPD templates, the UNCT is expected to carry out the following activities: 1. Deliver an induction workshop: The purpose of the Induction Workshop is to provide basic training on the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD) and disability inclusive SDGs, UNPRPD’s Cross-Cutting Approaches outlined in its Strategic Operational Framework (SOF), and the preconditions for disability inclusion. The Induction Workshop ensures that all stakeholders are informed and prepared to participate in the Situational Analysis. 2. Conduct a situational analysis: The purpose is to engage stakeholders in a broader analysis on contextual factors affecting CRPD and SDG implementation and the preconditions for disability inclusion in order to inform wider planning within the country and to inform planning for UNPRPD programs and ensure they are based on the national needs that respond to national challenges. 3. Develop the full proposal– Drawing on learning from the Induction Workshop and Situational Analysis, the Full Proposal outlines the program objectives, activities, outputs, and outcomes, as well as the structure and nature of the multi-stakeholder partnership that will drive the implementation of the program. In addition, the Full Proposal includes a full program budget. The template will be shared after completion of the Induction Workshop and Situational Analysis. The Induction Workshop, Situational Analysis, and Full Proposal processes should include all potential programme partners, such as participating UN organizations, government stakeholders, OPDs, and civil society, and additional stakeholders, such as donors, private sector and workers organizations, should be consulted during the data collection process of the Situational Analysis.
