Promotion of C190 ratification and prevention of violence and harassment at Work in Indonesia
This intervention aims at promoting gender equality and non-discrimination and addressing the effects and impact of COVID19 on issues related to violence and harassment in the world of work, including online gender-based violence and harassment. The target groups of the intervention include policymakers and government officials, relevant law enforcement officers, the social partners and citizens. This intervention’s geographical focus is Jakarta, while awareness raising campaigns are conducted nationwide, mostly through social media. The ILO facilitates evidence-based tripartite dialogue and builds the capacity of ILO’s tripartite constituents to prevent and address violence and harassment in the world of work, in line with the Violence and Harassment Convention, 2019 (No. 190) and its accompanying Recommendation No. 206. This work paves the way towards Indonesia’s ratification of Convention No. 190. The expected results include strengthened national capacity and enhanced prevention mechanisms to fight against all forms of violence and harassment, including new and traditional forms of gender-based violence and harassment.
