Microinsurance for Microfinance Institutions Technical Assistance Programme (funded from AFD / PROPARCO)

The ILO and Grameen Crédit Agricole Microfinance Foundation (GCAMF) will partner to enable small holder farmers and micro, small and medium enterprises to better protect themselves. By working with local financial institutions to add insurance, including agriculture insurance, to their portfolio of financial products and supporting them to provide a valuable risk management service to their clients, these institutions will also protect their loan portfolios and generate a new revenue stream, which will provide additional protection for their investors.
