Youth Empowerment and Integration in Mixed Communities – SDC funded first phase
This project aims to improve livelihood opportunities and strengthen the socio-economic resilience of migrants, refugees, and host community youth through increased awareness and capabilities of key stakeholders, employability skills, career prospects and inclusive youth centres. To achieve the programme long term objectives, measurable effects will be generated in three strategic domains that will bring sustainable changes: Outcome 1: Egyptian, migrant and refugee adolescents and youth men and women have increased employability. Outcome 2: Community Canters model is endorsed by the Ministry of Youth and Sport providing inclusive child protection and gender-responsive services. Outcome 3: Advocacy: the Government of Egypt, key ministries, employers, and workers’ representatives have increased awareness on the importance of including migrants and refugees in the national labour market.
