Valuación actuarial del Sistema de Pensiones de la República de Panamá

The ILO will prepare an actuarial valuation of the Panamanian pension system, which constitutes a fundamental input to accompany the social dialogue process. The study will take into consideration both the Exclusively Defined Benefit System (SEBD) and the Mixed System. In order to guarantee the independence of the study, the CSS and other institutions providing information on the pension system will make available to the technical team assigned by the ILO the necessary information to conduct the work, including the individualized (but anonymized) databases of members, active contributors and pensioners, with all their characteristics registered in the administrative systems. The timeliness with which the information is provided in a comprehensive manner, once the detailed requirements are established at the beginning of the project, is an indispensable element for meeting the established deadlines. If necessary, the ILO may request clarifications and new information and data from the SSC. To execute the project, the ILO will appoint a technical team, composed of actuarial, data science and statistical consultants, with sufficient experience to conduct the work in an optimal manner in terms of product quality. This technical team and the derived products will be supervised by officials from ILO San José and the Public Finance, Actuarial and Statistics Service of the Social Protection Department of the ILO in Geneva.
