Capacity building in inclusive insurance
As part of their mandate to develop more efficient and impactful insurance markets, the ILO’s Impact Insurance Facility and the Insurance and Risk Finance Facility of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) seek to improve the quality and quantity of insurance through a structured approach that promotes a sustainable model for building insurance capacity in selected countries. Through this capacity building project, the two organizations hope to enable hundreds of insurance practitioners to benefit from best practices and cross-country experiences, indirectly enabling underserved consumers, such as low-income households, small and medium enterprises, rural dwellers and women clients, to benefit from valuable insurance solutions and consequently contributing to social and economic development.
