Women Economic Empowerment and Child Labour

The project is guiding the development and review of a “Women’s economic empowerment and child labour” toolkit that resulted from an early Grameen Foundation project. It ILO reaches out to financial sector stakeholders, including those that the ILO worked with in the past (e.g. as part of the Microfinance for Decent Work action research). Furthermore, the project field tests the toolkit in Côte d’Ivoire and supports field-testing in Nigeria. This engagement is supporting the ILO’s efforts to promote activities as part of the International Year of the Elimination of Child Labour.
