Providing Venezuelan migrants and refugees with access to decent jobs in their host countries - Enhancing opportunities for Venezuelan migrants and refugees in Latin America

This project will join the regional strategy to respond to the Venezuelan migration crisis in a way that provides opportunities for socioeconomic development for migrants and refugees, as well as host countries and communities. This collaboration is guided by the Regional Platform for Interagency Coordination “Response for Venezuelans” (R4V), where the ILO co-leads, jointly with the IOM, the Integration Sector of the Regional Platform. The project’s objective is to improve and increase levels of socioeconomic integration of Venezuelan migrants and refugees in their host countries through a decent work approach. With that goal in mind, the intervention will seek four outcomes: * Improved capacity of Vocational Training Institutes (VTI) to serve national and migrant and refugee populations. * Strengthened link between Public Employment Services (PES) and the job market to provide decent employment opportunities for Venezuelan migrants and refugees. * Enhanced labour opportunities for Venezuelan women migrants and refugees. * Strengthened Labour Market Information and Labour Migration Data Systems. This effort will maintain a transversal focus on addressing the situation of Venezuelan women migrants and refugees, as they are the ones most affected by this crisis and the most vulnerable to fall into situations of labour exploitation.
