Supporting the economic resilience and food security of young people and women through social protection (SDGs-SIDS Call)

The joint program (FAO /ILO / UNDP) aims to strengthen the resilience of young people and women to economic shocks, particularly in the Department in Grande Anse, through institutionalization of the two public policies. The expected outcomes are as follows: (1) Strengthen young people and women’s capacities for increased economic participation in agriculture and agribusiness and improved food security by 2023. (2) By 2023, Dissemination of a reproducible model and contribution to the identification of incentive measures within an inclusive regulatory framework for the promotion of sustainable and resilient investments in agriculture and agribusiness. (3) By 2023, humanitarian and development actors strengthen their coordination in the implementation of economic resilience and food security programmes through the establishment of an integrated information system that facilitates targeting and limits duplication and promotes public policies.
