Enhanced Resilience of MSMEs and Improved Access to Decent Jobs in Gaza

In line with the priorities identified under the National Employment Strategy for 2021-25, this RBSA intervention supports small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and women-owned cooperatives in the Occupied Palestinian Territory through targeted business development services and skills matching, improves business management and employment-intensive approaches in the construction sector, and enhances access to decent and productive jobs for unemployed Gazan women and youth. The work is being implemented in close collaboration with the Palestinian Fund for Employment and Social Protection for Workers representing the Ministry of Labour, the social partners and University institutions. At the end of the intervention, targeted SME and cooperative owners will have enhanced capacities to manage their business effectively and achieve improved employment outcomes. In addition, the intervention will help promote gender equality and non-discrimination as key to increase women’s participation in the labour market in the Gaza Strip.
