Building a resilient Belize through universal, adaptive, and sustainable protection
This joint programme supports a stronger, coordinated, integrated, shock-responsive and resilient social protection system in Belize that reacheds the most vulnerable, women and children through the development and implementationo f the National Scoial Protection Strategy, inclusive of the Social Protection Floor, and recommendation os the Universal Periodic Review (3rd cycle, 2018) and other human rights mechanisms to Belize. The main results are centered on two interconnected outcomes, both of which are articulated in Plan Belize and the Government's Medium-Term Development Strategy Priority Areas: Poverty reduction and Economic growth.
