Enhancing Rural Resilience in Yemen Phase III (ERRY III): Supporting Resilient Livelihoods and Food Security in Yemen (UNJP with funding from EC and Sweden)
ERRY III builds on the progress and lessons learnt from the first two phases of the programme. The aim is to build community resilience by enhancing community capacity and reducing vulnerability resulted from the protracted, complex crisis in Yemen caused by the civil war, coupled with poverty and environmental shocks. The programme is supported by the European Commission and Sweden (Sida) and is jointly implemented by FAO, ILO, UNDP and WFP. It will address Community Conflict Reduction and Increased Social Cohesion; Access to Clean Energy and Climate Adaptation; and Livelihoods and Food Security, working in eight governorates all over in Yemen. ERRY III aims to directly benefit around 1,270,000 vulnerable beneficiaries from marginalised communities including Internally Displaced People (IDPs), returnees, vulnerable host communities, female-headed households, youth, daily labourers, people with disabilities and elderly community members.
