Building Youth Capacity and Network in Asia Pacific

This project aims to capacitate and connect development organizations which support the youth and vulnerable communities to strengthen entrepreneurial ecosystem for inclusive growth and productivity in Cambodia, Laos, Thailand, Philippines and Bangladesh. To achieve this objective, the project will collaborate with international and local organizations to empower 50,000 youth using sustainable, scalable and impactful training tools. Besides the trainings, the ILO expects to connect the communities in each country with an international platform so that the users of ILO’s training tools can learn from other countries and apply the knowledge to improve their trainings. The unprecedented COVID-19 pandemic brought a number of challenges to the global society by distancing people and countries both physically and psychologically. However, this project will leverage this as an opportunity to connect people through digital technologies. The international platform will lead to an increase in knowledge amongst partners and providers, and ultimately to an increase in provision of low-cost, adaptable entrepreneurship development programmes. To achieve the objective, the project will deliver three key outcomes; 1)Promotion of entrepreneurship, 2)Reinforcement of organizational capacity, and 3)Creation of international network. The three outcomes will be delivered in partnership with development partners which are international and local development organizations with capacity to implement activities with existing project teams and offices in Asia Pacific countries.
