Business partnerships & solutions for SDGs

The project, supported by the Swedish International Development Agency (SIDA), strives to achieve increased awareness and understanding of Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) positive business practices and will undertake sectoral reviews to support a roadmap for the adoption of SDGs and the EU green agenda by businesses. Also, the project will work so that the private sector becomes aware of the Economic, Social and Environmental (ESG) benefits of adopting the Sustainable Development Goal principles in their operations. In close cooperation with UNIDO, the competent authorities and social partners, the ILO will prepare a Stock Taking report on SDG positive business practices in the textile and footwear sector in Albania, and design a roadmap for the adoption of SDGs and the EU Green Agenda in these sectors. Additionally, the ILO will deliver a Sustaining Competitive and Responsible Enterprises (SCORE) Training in 30 textile and footwear factories, which combines practical classroom training with in-factory consulting aimed at improving productivity and working conditions in small and medium enterprises.
