Fair Recruitment in Central America: strengthening institutional capacities for the socioeconomic integration of migrants and refugees

The purpose of this Arrangement is to provide Eight hundred and fifty thousand Canadian Dollars funding, as set out in Annex C, paid in 1 (one) instalment, to the Organization to implement the Project within a period of 2 (two) years from the signing of this Arrangement. The objective of this Arrangement is to strengthen the capacities of key actors in Costa Rica, Guatemala, and Honduras on fair recruitment practices and also the integration of refugees and migrants, including return migrants, into the labor markets of Central America. This will be done through technical assistance in the areas of employment services for migrants and refugees, regional fair recruitment certification schemes, revisions of labor legislation, and supporting the development of employment opportunities for refugees and migrants, with a focus on skills certification, reskilling, upskilling, and integrating recent graduates into the local labor market, among other priority areas.
