Building a comprehensive government approach to combatting child labour and forced labour in Mexico
The overall objective of the project is to enhance the effectiveness of the Government of Mexico's efforts to combat child labor and forced labor.The project will strengthen the capacity of the Government of Mexico to collect, process and analyze actionable data (evidence) to improve the development, implementation andenforcement of laws and public policies and programs to combat child labor and forced labor, as well as support the implementation of the Alliance 8.7 Roadmap commitments. Theproject will work in close collaboration with key stakeholders such as federal, state and municipal government authorities, private sector, unions, workers and communities to addresschild labor and forced labor.At the end of this project, the following two outcomes will have been achieved:Outcome 1: Improved implementation and enforcement of evidence-based laws, policies, and programs related to combating child labor and forced labor in Mexico.Outcome 2: Increased coordination between federal, state, and municipal governments in Mexico to combat child labor and forced labor nationally. Outcome 3. Strengthened response in Mexico and the Northern countries of Central America for the eradication of child labor, forced labor and trafficking in persons in the context of migration.
