The ILO/Japan project entitles “Resilient, inclusive and sustainable supply chains” aims to advance decent work in more resilient, inclusive and sustainable supply chains as part of regional, national and local efforts to “build forward better”. As well as to assist ILO constituents in Japan with the effective implementation of the new National Action Plan on Business and Human Rights and new due diligence guidance through a better understanding of critical risks in global supply chains and best practice tools to mitigate. The project contributes to the UN SDG 8 on employment and decent work for all and, in particular, to Target 8.5 on achieve full and productive employment and decent work for all women and men, including for young people and persons with disabilities, and equal pay for work of equal value by identifying and supporting constituents to address decent work opportunities and challenges in supply chains.
