The first experiment will contributeto the articulation of Madagascar Common Country Assessment 2022, while the second will follow-up on Madagascar youth forum on development, employment and entrepreneurship to support youth engagement, understanding and ownership on the future of work for the young generations of Malagasy people. More specifically, the two initiatives can be summarised as follows: Initiative 1: CCA system thinking and futuring Under RC/UNCT global coordination, Programme Management Team in Madagascar will run a series of system-analysis and foresight workshops together with UNGP, UNITAR and UNDESA, in the context of updating Madagascar CCA (Modules 2 and 4 of the Concept Note in Annex 1). This system thinking exercise will reflect on the 4 Ps of sustainable development, i.e., prosperity, people, planet and peace. This initiative will inform UNGP’s forthcoming second foresight training for DCO. Initiative 2: Foresight exercise on youth employment In the context of a larger national effort to build foresight capacity at the governmental level, RC/UNCT with support from ILO, other UN agencies and UNGP, and in collaboration with the Government of Madagascar, will promote a foresight activity on the future of youth work with a strong engagement of Malagasy youth (Concept note in Annex 2).
