G7: System to monitor and evaluate green jobs and skills in Official Development Assistance

As countries look to increase their share of development assistance to the creation of green jobs, green skills promotion and just transition, it will be important to develop methodologies on how to monitor and evaluate project outcomes related to green jobs and skills for a green transition. Improving M&E related to green jobs and skills at the project level will allow for higher levels of accountability and reliability, leading to higher accuracy on green job achievements at the country and local level. Currently, only few bilateral donors M&E systems include outcomes or indicators related to green jobs and skills. This project will contribute to systematising green jobs and skills measurement at project level by reviewing definitions and methodologies related to the measurement of green jobs and skills and proposing a green jobs and skills framework to be applied in the technical cooperation and financial cooperation projects of G7 countries.
