Strengthening the prevention and elimination of Child Labour in the Agricultural sector

Strengthening the prevention and elimination of Child Labour in the Agricultural sector in South Africa project will help to strengthen the role and the capacities of civil society organisations, including labour organisations, in promoting human rights and in particular children’s rights, including addressing child labour, to collect and analyse data related to child labour and using data towards evidence-based advocacy and policy dialogue, to implement international frameworks and commitments for the protection of human rights. Situational analysis and rapid assessment report produced on Child Labour and used to inform advocacy and policy dialogue by civil society, especially that the 2019 survey of activities by young persons was conducted prior the COVID-19 Pandemic and the devastating floods. It's results will improve collaboration, partnerships and knowledge sharing among multiple target groups at local and national level in their child labour prevention and elimination work. In plans to organizemMulti- stakeholders dialogue sessions to share innovative strategies and plans to combat child and forced labour in Agriculture.
