EU4Employment in Bosnia and Herzegovina (funded by the EU)

This Action is concerned with structural labour market challenges in Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) that disproportionally affect labour market outcomes of women, youth, and vulnerable individuals. The Action works on: (i) improving the design, implementation, and performance monitoring of active labour market policies (programmes and services) with emphasis on targeting and adaptation/diversification of the portfolios; (ii) enabling the design and implementation of quality training programmes for long-term unemployed and other vulnerable categories with the support of enterprises, educational institutions, NGOs, and other relevant organizations; (iii) introducing or update innovative activation services in cooperation with social welfare centres and other partners; (iv) preparing a roadmap for the implementation and monitoring of the reinforced youth guarantee in line with the EU/ILO Guidelines for the Western Balkans. The overall approach of the Action is based on a mix of a carefully designed grant scheme and the provision of technical assistance by the ILO.
