Implementación de la Fase XIII del Componente de Migración Laboral del Programa Regional de Migración - Western Hemisphere Program
The Regional Program on Migration (Western Hemisphere Program-WHP), implemented by IOM since 2010, is funded by the Bureau of Population, Refugees and Migration of the U.S. Department of State and aims to strengthen the capacity of governments to manage migration in a humane and sustainable manner. This Agreement is framed under activity 2.1.4 of Phase XIII of the Regional Program on Migration and responds to the activities of the labor migration component. The activities under this Agreement are executed by the International Labor Organization (ILO) in coordination with the International Organization for Migration (IOM) and are aimed at contributing to regional dialogue and strengthening labor mobility mechanisms to promote safe, orderly and regular labor migration. The intervention focuses on strengthening regional coordination spaces and processes related to regional labor migration governance, in particular the Regional Conference on Migration (RCM). The framework of the Agreement includes joint support to improve migration governance, capacity building and policy coherence at the national and regional levels.
