Technical Review of Canada's Compliance with ILO Occupational Safety and Health Convention, 1981 (No. 155)
This project will contribute aligning Canadian legislation in occupationnal safety and health with the adoption by the 110th International Labour Conference of a resolution adding the principle of a safe and healthy working environment to the ILO’s Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work. With this landmark decision, ILO Member States designated the Occupational Safety and Health Convention, 1981 (No.155), and the Promotional Framework for Occupational Safety and Health Convention, 2006 (No. 187) as new fundamental conventions and expressed their commitment to respect and promote their principles and rights. Canada already ratified all but one fundamental conventions, the Occupational Safety and Health Convention, 1981 (No.155).
