Improving Livelihoods and Decent Employment Opportunities of Vulnerable Communities in Nangahar and Laghman provinces is a one year $1,000,000 STFA funded project to be implemented in the Eastern region of Afghanistan. It is proposed to be implemented by ILO in partnership with UNODC office in Afghanistan with each partner allocated $500,000. The ILO and UNODC will facilitate interventions in agriculture and enterprise development including development of a private sector-led extension scheme, agro dealers’ development program, access to markets through web-based platform, entrepreneurship and business management trainings, access to finance and organizational development for community-based self-help groups in targeted areas.
