Migrant Rights and Decent Work (MiRiDeW) – Phase II
The overall goal of the project is to facilitate, and support to strengthened laws, policies, practices and systems for safe labour migration and access to decent work for Nepali migrant workers. This is to be achieved by effective implementation of the labour migration framework supported and alignment with international labour standards promoted to protect the rights of Nepali migrant workers, with a particular focus on women migrant workers as well as strengthened institutional capacity, accountability, and coordination of all three tiers of government, social partners, and other stakeholders in labour migration to ensure safe, orderly, and regular migration. The overarching impact the project aims to attain is that migrant workers and their families improve their economic and social well-being, through improved access to decent employment opportunities and protection of their human and labour rights.
