ILO-OECD-WHO Working for Health (W4H) Programme phase II
The project reflects the ILO contribution to the joint ILO-OECD-WHO Working for Health (W4H) programme phase II - which builds on the first phase of W4H (2018-2023) which emerged from the findings of the High-Level Commission on Health Employment and Economic Growth (HEEG). By joining forces, the ILO, OECD and WHO provide coordinated policy advice, technical assistance, and capacity strengthening programmes to assist Member States enhancing national health workforce strategies and policies. The ILO contribution to the Programme focuses on strengthening the employment and decent work component and enhancing social dialogue among all stakeholders. The development objective is the accelerated progress towards Universal Health Coverage and relevant SDGs (SDG 3, 4, 5 and 8), through an expanded and transformed health workforce. The project operates at global, regional and country level. The scope of the project (countries) may increase over time.
