PROSPECTS – Improving Prospects for Host Communities and Forcibly Displaced Persons in Ethiopia (Phase 2)
PROSPECTS phase II in Ethiopia is intended to achieve a threefold intermediate impact by improving the self-reliance of displaced and host communities through strengthening livelihoods, reducing vulnerability and long-term reliance on external assistance; including forcibly displaced persons (FDPs) at systems, community, and individual levels; and strengthening the resilience of local communities and FDPs. The ILO, in this partnership, supports the integration of FDPs into relevant national systems in collaboration with national and regional stakeholders and relevant policies and strategies, including the implementation of the Refugee Proclamation, and subsequent directives including on the Refugees Right to Work. Geographical focus of the project is on the regions of Somali, Amhara and, Afar and Addis Ababa.
