Promoting a safe and healthy working environment in Thailand and Cambodia
The project goal is to improve the safety and health of all workers in Cambodia and Thailand. To this end, the project will: 1)Work at sub-regional level to consolidate knowledge and raise awareness on the promotion of a safe and healthy working environment; 2)Support the further development and continuous improvement of national OSH systems in Thailand and Cambodia addressing persistent and emerging physical and psychosocial risks including mental health at work; 3)Support workplace level actions to promote a safe and healthy working environment, including mental health at work. The ILO recognizes that national OSH systems are at very different stage of development in Thailand and Cambodia. Activities are thus tailored based on the context/needs of each target country, and previous ILO interventions. However, the project will use similar tools, strategies and approaches whenever relevant to ensure coherence of the approaches and maximize the use of resources. It will also use sub-regional platforms such as the ASEAN OSHNET to foster exchanges of experiences between the two countries and beyond
