Road to Sustainable Livelihoods, Employment and Decent Work R2SLED

ILO plans to implement the Road to Sustainable Livelihoods, Employment and Decent work (R2SLED) in Northern region of Afghanistan. The project aims to reach at least 1,000 people of which at least 70 percent would be mainly women, returnees, and some members of the host communities and at least 30 percent of the beneficiaries would include vulnerable and underserved groups such as persons living with disabilities (PwDs) and youths. The project forms partnerships with micro-small and medium enterprises who are supported financially to implement interventions that will create employment for target group. The partner businesses are also expected to open supply chains to target group. The project builds on the results of a recently completed partnership with UNDP and the approach of the Road to Decent Jobs for All Afghans (R2J4All) project and leverage its existing networks, trust, knowledge, and successes to bring positive impact to the livelihoods and employment situation of women and disadvantaged groups.
