Better Work 2022-2027 - DFAT contribution – Vietnam component

Based on Better Work Vietnam's 2022-2027 strategy and gender strategy with an inclusive approach to disadvantaged and vulnerable groups, including female migrant workers and people with disabilities, this project aims to create a pathway for migrant female workers and persons with disabilities to acquire targeted skills, access meaningful employment opportunities, and contribute effectively to the apparel and footwear sector while promoting inclusivity and empowerment. The interventions of the project facilitate a more comprehensive and inclusive approach to support vulnerable groups including people with disabilities, at the workplace through public-private partnerships. The project targets factories enrolled in Better Work Vietnam on the one hand, and national tripartite constituents on the other hand, especially business associations, namely, the Vietnam Apparel and Textile Association (VITAS), Vietnam Leather, Footwear and Handbag Association (LEFASO), and the Vietnam Electronic Industries Association (VEIA).
