ENTRUST Initiative - Enhancing Tripartite Roles to Uphold Just Transitions in sectors undergoing Green Transformations: Renewable Energy, Transport & Construction
This intervention aims to enhance the capacity of ILO tripartite constituents in implementing strategic aspects of just transitions in circular and green economy sectors undergoing green transformations and considered as key employment generators – the renewable energy, transport and construction sectors. The intervention is implemented in partnership with the Department of Labor and Employment, workers’ and employers’ organizations, the Technical Education and Skills Development Agency, the Philippine Statistics Agency and other key government agencies and organizations with mandates relevant to the three sectors. The ultimate beneficiaries are youth, women, indigenous groups, and workers in vulnerable situations, as well as businesses, workers and employers in the three sectors. The expected results include the development of statistical classifications to generate official green jobs data, the adoption of sectoral Green Jobs Human Resource Development and Just Transition Plans for the three sectors, enhanced social dialogue mechanisms, as well as strengthened institutional capacity of tripartite constituents to facilitate just transitions at both national and enterprise levels.
